companies don't debut groups for the fans - they debut groups in order to make a profit and generally speaking BG and GG make more money than co-ed ones

Mainly because fans will instantly jump to conclusions the members in those groups are secretly dating.

So to prevent that from ever happening, the labels likely decided to separate the groups by gender.

Because those don't work anymore, it'll just end up with people being annoying af and arguing

I find co-ed groups to often have a really confusing sound and concept, so I don’t think it’s simply down to fans thinking members are dating, I think they struggle to have a mass appeal in general.
