Apparently, some kpop lyricists use AI to write songs?

  • According to some comment on Instagram (well... probably not a reliable source)

Well... I don't think I would notice it if someone had used AI to write song lyrics.

And I can't think of any kpop song that possibly could have lyrics written by an AI.

I don't know if KOMCA would remove these kinds of songs.

I would consider it kinda lazy to use AI instead of actually coming up with your own lyrics.

I sometimes consider myself a kinda bad poet, but at least I write my own poems instead of using AI and be like "Oh yeah, I wrote that"

And I have also sometimes thought about becoming a lyricist, and I would rather make up my own lyrics instead.

  • As recently stated by KOMCA if AI is not clearly mentioned before finishing a song, they will remove songs now even if actually no AI was used at all, first they will question you for AI use in order to know if you are liable for copyright or not. If you say you are using AI your song won't get a copyright protection and if you lie and they find out or you can't or won't proof to them if AI was used or not, they will even delet your entire work if needed.

AI won't have a future in KPop

  • I didn't even think this could happen!

This just means they will be lazy and not input much or any effort.

Just press a few clicks and done.

    AI technology sucks.
