Hitomi is a former member of the Japanese girl group AKB48.
She is also a former Produce 48 contestant and its final project group, IZ*ONE.
Mei is a former The Debut: Dream Academy contestant.
Seungjoo is a former My Teenage Girl contestant.

I hear about them 'cause i follow jaejoong, I love the little cat concept they keep bringing out. It's so cute, he seems to be taking well care of them, and everytime i watch them they seem age appropriate in everything they do so i have quite the respect for him.
I liked their debut song, but this is a pretty nice bop too 
For me, it resonates because it feels like it carries the spirit of 2nd generation K-pop, while still managing to sound modern.
As a big TVXQ fan from way back, I hope Jaejoong can do right by these girls. They deserve a chance. I was quite surprised when I discovered he was putting together a girl group, especially since he only just finished his exile sentence recently. Of course, he's a twenty year veteran and well respected amongst his seniors, peers, and even juniors, so I have trust that he'll do his best. I wish both the group and Jaejoong well in this endeavor.
I'm pleased to see Hitomi again. From what I've seen, the girls seem to have good chemistry which goes a long way. Also, I love the cute cat iconography.

Yeah, it instantly resonated with me because of that. I love the chorus. Although, even without the fun little 2nd Gen nostalgia attack, the song is catchy enough, and probably a grower for some people who weren't sure about it after a single listen. It's just fun and positive vibes all round. Also, the music video was well shot and edited, I liked the colour grading, the choreography is fun and dynamic, and like others have mentioned, the girls were dressed age appropriately as far as I can remember, which is always a good sign. For me there's nothing not to like or be overly nitpicky about.
Spring is a lovely season after all.

What's crazy to me is that Jaejoong is taking care of SAYMYNAME purely with his own money. On the Netflix show with Choo Sung-Hoon, he mentioned that it costs approximately $13.7 million per year to debut and support his groups.
He says that here with INFINITE as his guests.
He must be super rich o_o
But ya considering all that, I really hope the girls do well. I have no doubt they are being taken care of very well considering that Jaejoong is one of the 3 people who were responsible for the government stepping in to ensure fairer contracts for artists.
