Rose is also up for Artist of the Year, so I'm curious if they'll choose her or aespa or maybe even a surprise pick.
The KMAs are generally considered the most reputable and respected of all the Korean awards shows.

Interesting list! KMA is basically the only Korean Award show that still has my interest, even tho the nominees in some categories are kinda weird.
APT can't win SOTY, it's only a 2 months old song. I mean, was in 2024. The artist of the year nomination is ridiculous btw. I don't even get why. Rose over IU? Nah.
I don't get this Kpop and Pop category either. You can see Kpop artists in both, then what's the reason to have 2 separate categories? If you look at last year's nominees, this KMA 2025 feels more like MAMA now. They messed up the mainstream categories. It was more balanced last year.

The winners are chosen by a panel of judges using their own criteria; it has nothing to do with stats or some of these artists would never receive a nomination.
Also, K-Pop artists rarely ever win awards here, which underscores that fact even more.

I love the song, but for me, it feels weird that we can consider a 2 months old song for SOTY, meanwhile Supernova and Love Wins All ruled the charts for months.
I know how KMA works, that's why I prefer this more, but biggest problem is the Pop and Kpop nominations. If you look at the nominations from last year or any other year, they didn't mix Kpop artists with Pop artists.
3 of the nominees are basically Kpop Idols. Tbf, they always put IU in the Pop category even tho IU herself said she's a Kpop Idol. Anyway, KMA is still better than any other Award, basically. Most of my lesser known faves I found it here.
