I finally got around to watching it and I gotta say between this MV and the game called "Control" I've really had this itch of extremely liminal yet stately office spaces scratched. It's just this feeling of false coziness that I've seen in places like the Colburn School or, say, in a lecture hall within a hotel that's to be rented out. Something like a modern concert hall.

Grand scales with grand meaningless yet uniform shapes, all with spaces that energy collects, quiet shaded places or dimly lit so people don't actually collect there.

Something like a brutalist architectural exercise, but flipped inside out and focused on impersonally cozy interior design, instead of a grand statement of permanence on the outside.

it's not something i've felt since Everglow's adios MV and it's Background settings.

needless to say I need to watch the thing again because I fell in love with the architecture that happened in the background.

Edit: it's not something where you walk in and michael bay cranks the bass amp and rips a hot bean into the mic, but more like "it should" have it but it's totally and eerily silent, like a library with all the lights on full blast like its open but with no one there, not even the books or shelves.

Edit 2: it's the kind of grandeur that relies on grand scales and mathematical uncomplication. If you take a brick wall, great now make it a rectangular prism and pure white in color, with purely planar surfaces, and crisp 90 degree edges, and paint it eggshell matte white. that kind of uncomplication. Something like the game "super hot" but maybe with a bit more color and less mirror finish. If you want another IRL reference, Look at black and white pictures of Harvey Mudd's Galileo Hall, especially that conference room.
