People don't seem to understand that HYBE can legally do nothing to stop NewJeans. That's why they put out those tone deaf statements through various pro-label organizations, threatening blacklists and claiming NewJeans will ruin the industry if they get their way.

It's because they know they're cooked. The only thing in dispute is if NewJeans will have to pay any fees and the rights to their IPs

But HYBE cannot stop them from moving on to start a new label and release new music.

A simple way to look at it is this.

Companies unilaterally terminate idol contracts all the time. How often do you hear anyone saying "the contract is still valid until the courts confirm otherwise!!!" when that happens?

HYBE themselves terminated Kim Garam's contract and booted her from LSF, once they determined she was bringing too much harm to LSF.

Imagine if Kim Garam said she refused to leave and the contract with HYBE was valid until the courts confirmed otherwise.

This is what a lot of people don't seem to get. HYBE can't force NJ to stay. That's illegal and enslavement. Just how you can't just demand to stay at an employer once you've been terminated.

HYBE is filing lawsuits because they don't want to lose NewJeans for nothing and the optics would be even worse than they are currently. They will do anything to slow down NJ from turning into direct competitors.

I don't think they'll be back soon. Probably in the second semester or next year.

There is still a thing like a non competition clause. So even if they leave ador. They will not be allowed to come back as a group for a time.

Sure, let's say you're right. Tell me, who's gonna provide help for NJ to release songs when I read articles saying NJ has to go back to ADOR, because what they're doing ruins Kpop.

Not saying I agree with this statement, BUT ultimately this is a business, and NJ doesn't have the same power as HYBE, not even MHJ. A couple of calls from HYBE and no other agency will help them release songs UNTIL they solved this case at the court!

Anyone who's gonna help them release songs, it's a bad PR for their companies. You can say, the fans and the public will love them for it, but ultimately, if a bigger shark wanna eat you, it's gonna eat you, doesn't matter how fast you can swim.

This does not exist and at no point was it even remotely suggested that NewJeans are bound by a non-compete clause. This would've surfaced MONTHS ago if there was any language like this included in their contracts.

Lotte just put out a press release last week to let the public know their new campaign, with NewJeans as their ambassadors, exceeded their revenue projections.

Omega made Danielle a global ambassador AFTER the contract termination and specifically tagged and named her.

NewJeans just won multiple awards for being the best and most marketable ambassadors in entertainment.

You know what talks? Money. And industry insiders have gone on record saying NewJeans is still highly sought after because their influence on profit margins is still the highest of any group.

Case in point:

HYBE is quite literally NOTHING compared to these marketing and media giants.

So if the big brands all still love and support NewJeans, and the Korean public all love and support NewJeans, and their fans obviously still love and support them, and they continue to receive love and support internationally, then of COURSE people will be tripping over themselves to work with them.

Most of these have active contract with NJ and HYBE/ADOR, that's why they're sill working with NJ. Except you said they had "bad PR", which is completely contradicted by the fact that big brands continue to reach out to and ink new deals with them. Literally no entity is more sensitive to bad PR than these giant conglomerates and fashion houses, so how could there be any semblance of truth to your claims?

These companies move faster than anyone to drop idols they perceive as bad for business.

On the subject of music production, the ex members of 5050 were able to find a company willing to make music for them and re-debut them, and that's with the public hating them and Attrakt winning the PR battle handedly. Why on Earth would you think the most popular active girl group in K-Pop, behind the leadership of the single most influential executive and producer in K-Pop, MHJ, would struggle to find a new home?

It would be a wrench in securing new advertisements, not in their ability to work.

People need to understand HYBE CAN'T DO ANYTHING to stop them from working.
