Smngg and Izna probably debuting in November, is it a rivalry in the making?

  • Smngg is rumored to be debuting in November with a larger lineup. And the girl group from the survival show “Iland 2” IZNA will probably end up debuting in November as well.

Both groups are on the larger side and Teddy will probably be giving Izna girlier tracks compared to his gg MEOVV. And for smngg, they’re rumored to be sm’s new girls generation.

So with these two ggs debuting at the same time with girlier concepts, is there bound to be some rivalry? :/

  • Well, I've read from somewhere Izna was set to debut by the end of this year.

So late December would be likely for them.

Regardless of both groups' debut months, fans of both will probably vocally pit them as rivals online if the groups do similar concepts.

"You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't bout how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward." ~ Rocky Balboa

  • no I don't think they will be rivals

it's long enough, it will be 4 years since aespa debut so younger fans will hoop in the hype train of new SM GG and also older fans will check them

debuting under SM is a big headstart

izna can rival MEOVV or I don't know some group which will debut under smaller/mid size company but not SMNGG, at least not by the amount of interest they will generate during debut time

  • I might have to eat my words, but i doubt a new SMGG will be rivals with a survival show group. We saw how well Kepler did.

And unless they have a breakout star, much like Izone, i doubt they will be that relevant. And EVEN IF they debut does well, surival show groups are a pattern of doing really well right after the show ends, then steadily decline, which is the exact opposite of what a new group is suppose to do.

  • I just love how SM just drops the bomb on every upcoming male/female group when those others think they have a chance. It's an onslaught. Like sheep getting ready for slaughter, and a pig meeting a coyote. It's the usual.
