Well... I don't mind them.
I wouldn't say that I'm like those "theatre kids", who are very into musicals.
Sometimes when there is a musical on theatre in my country, I go watch it. (but mostly if I know one of the actors personally)
And I have played in a musical myself.
I had a phase though where I was really into the High School Musical franchise. (I even had 2 HSM video games)
One movie musical that I watched recently kinda bored me whenever the song parts came up.
Even though the people who made that movie also made another movie that I actually like better, and I preferred those songs. But maybe the reason behind me liking the other movie better is probably because I have watched that one many times.
