The tweet of Stray Kids' chart history on Billboard 200 brought me some memories

    I was here for their first #1 with ODDINARY.


    I remember K-pop stans coming together across multiple social media to accuse Stray Kids' sales of being faked by JYP internationally shipping it to US to get #1 on Billboard 200 with ODDINARY, cause they couldn't believe SKZ have a solid fanbase on US. They trended a hashtag to defame them to the point where Jeff Benjamin had to defend the group and the Senior Director of Music from Billboard created a space on twitter to announce Stray Kids' #1 was 100% legit, along with the boys live.


    Crazy they are on their fifth #1


    Their response to K-pop community dragging them is continue to thrive unbothered


    Talent will remain winning

    I see the same and always criticize such behavior. It's one of the reasons why stays annoy me.


    I personally don't want other groups to to be treated with so much hatred. I don't want other groups to not be successful and not achieving the same things as Stray Kids. It's just funny to me the fact they need to be the initial punching bags until a specific achievement is more "normalized" and other acts get it later.


    It's like It's impossible for them to be really popular. It always needs to have something behind, even If It's criminal.

    Oh I agree. It's just childish, but I don't expect anything better from kpop stan twitter, they're always attacking each other + groups and justifying it with the dumbest reasons.. Stays are sadly no different/better than others.


    And yes, it seems like it takes all the power in the world for some weird stans to just simply accept a group they don't like is popular.. it's like it offends them that the world doesn't revolve around them and their personal taste only. It's so dumb
