I take the bus into the city for work about 10 times a week.
These are the reasons why.
1. Its much more inexpensive than car.its basically free. I have enough money to take the bus for the next 66 years, granted they stay the same price.
I know people who pay more just for parking monthly than i pay for the monthly pass.
If i were to buy a car its the equivalent of about 20 years of me riding the bus. 
and that is for a cheap car.
Were I to get an actual good car it would be like 40 years.
2. my only concern taking the bus is showing up at the bus stop on time. the morning bus is never late and ive only lost it once so far. If theres noone raping my ears with tiktoks i can really relax. I don't have to follow traffic rules or worry about other cars and actual driving. i also normally always get to sit down. but even when i don't its not a big deal.
3. i like seeing the people. Since i am always taking the same buses i know several people by sight who also take the same bus as me. I know their stops and their family members. I am basically stalking them yep. Theres one small boy that waits for his mother at a certain stop and whenever she gets off she always hugs him and he is just always very excited screaming for her when he sees her, and this happens atleast twice a week, which is very cute.
4. i love knowing i am not contributing to the 10 million cars i see parked on the street since i don't own a personal car.
5. i love knowing i make a lot less noise than all those car people driving around .
6. i love knowing the air is cleaner cause i am on a bus and not on a personal vehicle.
i wish i could take the subway but where i live there are only buses.
but i have lived in a city with subway and i loved the noises on the subway and the general experience.
the last time i was on that subway the experience was ruined cause there was this black man on it who started stripping but that was the first time anything like that had ever happened in several years.
