Covid saw a massive rise in a lot of entertainment product consumption and post covid we are observing drops in a lot of areas too.

People are out more and spending more money again on days out, nightlife, irl shopping, eating out, etc and that's causing a big drop.

We also pretty much know for a fact companies(all of them) falsely boosted sales and even have people in the industry like MHJ admitting it happens. I think now that touring is back on the menu the companies have laid off this fraud to move the stock needle in favour of doing so via booking tours and shows to demonstrate fandom size.

We can say, even if this seems low, it's likely a genuine 1m seller with mainly real fans buying it. To me that's worth far more than company boosting 2-3 times that number.
