  • Weird af to you westerners that are 109% used to multiculturalism. This is NOT the case for the majority of the world. Most countries have a singular history, culture, ethnicity and customs and are homogeneous societies. So it makes sense to try to get folks that are as similar to you as possible to ensure things come together smoothly, none of it is racist or has ill intentions these people are simply choosing who's most compatible with them very much the same way you choose who to date and nobody judges if you're dating preferences are racist/sexist etc

It is self-evident that multiculturalism doesn't work in the West, either. But vast amounts of money and effort are being expended to pretend it does, because the elites think it sounds good.

If I were getting a job in, say, Japan, I would have to learn enough Japanese to communicate at a conversational level, learn what behaviors and styles of dress the locals find offensive, and learn how to work in a productive, cooperative way with Japanese citizens. If I failed to do these things I would not expect to be allowed to stay very long.

National borders are cultural barriers. Taiwan has the perfect right to insist that those who wish to cross its borders to work are able to fit into its culture.

Funny that people who say stuff like this, are usually the first to scream discrimination when they're in a Western country and someone does/says something way less racist than this.
