Seems like a silly thing to apologize for.
But well... if someone is being offended by their fave cutting off their hair, then that's also silly.
Even though I have often seen fans comment when their faves have nice-looking long hair "keep him/her away from scissors" or something like that. (but I assume that most of them are not serious, when they say it)
