Did you think Minju fumble her career for not accepting Hybe offer?

  • She didn't fumble her career per se, however I do think she missed a big time opportunity.

She was always going to go down the actress path, and when disbandment came, she seemed like she was done with the idol life, and wanted to pursue her other passion straight away.

However, if she was to invest another 2-3 years into being an idol, I think her celebrity status would've elevated a lot more, and would lead to bigger opportunities for her as an actress. She could be getting lead roles straight away, rather than having to grind for 5+ years before landing a main role like how other actresses normally do.

  • I feel like Minju was done with the Kpop lifestyle/was kinda forced into it by her company for Produce. That's why I was kinda annoyed she made the lineup because I feel of all the contestants in the finale, she wanted to be a singer least (that's not to say she didn't value her time in the group, I'm sure she did). If she wanted to do music still, she would have definitely signed on with them. She wants to do acting and that's it and that's okay. If her career never takes off in a big way, I think she'll be okay with that. She had her moment of fame and knows she'll get projects here and there because of it.
