Especially considering how notoriously bad the conditions of kpop idols can be for both physical and mental health…

Jennie has dog whistled her physical issues since the Netflix special like 83970 years ago but i guess most people forgot. She basically admitted that idol life is not for her when it comes to the physicality of it, the thousands of hours of grinding in the dance studio, waking up at ungodly hours, the pressures to be 47kgs while practicing for 10 hours a day on group choreo.

Her recent podcast was not new news, it was just reconfirmation of something she had already telegraphed to everyone years ago.

I think she and maybe the others are done with idol life, at least the idol life of a typical kpop group. This is why i have been so negative about the group's prospects and why i'm sure i've angered many blinks. I just dont think the members as a whole want to continue as a group, i think they've seen the lifestyles they could have from their Western friends, or even from their solo careers, they see that they can bring in millions, tens of millions in solo album sales, merch sales, digitals, endorsements and appearance fees, etc, without having to go through the absolute grind that most groups have to do and they're just fine with it.
