Who would have won the Aran-IU battle, if this Fifty Fifty crisis didn't take place?

  • A lot of Koreans think Fifty Fifty is finished.

FF is finished in Korea, but it never really stood a chance in there to begin with since the established wall of Korean acts was too thick, and it seems they are seeking a new way. A foreign company, not Warner, appears to be involved but we won't know it till all the dust settles.

Aran is the member which every ifan praised, and she has a lot of value internationally.

The only regret I have is I won't see the fight of IU-Aran, which would have forced the retirement of the singer who harmed KPop more than everyone else combined.

    This scenario assumes:

    The trouble does not start

The Barbie OST is a hit

The 2nd album is a hit so there are enough listners.

It is likely that the singer who made zero contribution to the advancement of KPop around the world will release something later this year, since filming for her drama will end in August. (The drama producer said IU would portray the characters' 'spring and summer', and older actors would portray the rest so her filming ends before summer is over)

She has time to attend various events and receive Filial Duty from NewJeans. I personally think that comes from this Fifty Fifty mess, which led Min Heejin to decide that it is good to pay a Filial Duty to Lee Jieun so the latter does not attack NewJeans from the back like Cho Yongpil shooting Psy from the back.

To battle Fifty Fifty it is likely that IU would have returned to the genre she does the best, a sad ballad usually suited for autumn, and Aran, having built her career from the above successes, would have partnered to some famous name in the West to defeat IU and eliminate any doubt of FF's superiority in Korea.

This battle would probably have gone like the last stand of an old hero; having been cornered, the old hero assembles all of her allies for final, desperate fight which has no guarantee of success, while the young, rising challenger uses the newest weapons and tactics to cement the end of an era and start of a new one.

It is likely that with all these momentum built, IU would have suffered her first digital defeat since 2010, and Aran would have succeeded sinking the old relic which terrorized KPop for all these years.

A marriage news of IU would have been announced next year, effectively making her retired from competition, while Aran's solo reaching Top 5 of Billboard Hot 100 would have taken the headline on that day.

In a sense, Mr. Jeon of Attrakt saved IU and all 4th Gen acts from being exposed, and IU will have thank Jeon in some way since if he didn't act like what he is doing, Aran would have finished off the domesticist later this year.
