It is now getting clear that the loudmouthed owner of Attrakt didn't really do anything with the group, and most of the work was done by Siahn, who does have connections with Warner Music Korea.
And other than Keena, 3 of 4 members were selected by Siahn and had little to do with the Attrakt owner.
Siahn probably judged that paying the termination fee and ditching Korea was worth it. The termination fee is not too big since all of them had trained elsewhere . The recent Chuu case set a precedent ; Chuu was a trainee elsewhere and Blackberry did not spend too much on her, so since Chuu brought more revenue than what Blackberry spent on her, she was able to leave, which eventually led to the dissolution of Loona.
The Attrakt owner does have connections and probably will block FF from operating in Korea, but its fanbase in Korea is small, probably smaller than Hikey's, and despite of Cupid fame its album only sold 50,000 copies, not all from Korea.
To this day the Fifty Fifty members have not paid a filial duty to Lee Jieun; since they won't operate in Korea they have no obligation to pay a filial duty to someone who is only relevant in Korea. For them IU is no more than a domestic singer, same way most Kpop acts see Lim Youngwoong and the trottists.
The Koreans tended to support the Attrakt owner, since if he loses, FF is lost to Korea and the advance of foreign influence in KPop would increase. its few Korean fans are getting vocal, and are urging the members to stay loyal to the Attrakt owner,
They tend to still retain the outdated idea that idols need a base in Korea to continue. (Yes, I want to hypernate the country name very badly but I can't.)
But the FF case will show that it is time for Kpop idols to abandon Korea, and thrive. Whatever the Koreans might think, I think that Siahn and the members will judge that there is no point of wasting time in Korea, going to useless Korean events, etc and just ditch it and concentrate in the overseas. In other words, if they finally do a filial duty to the Senior Singer, that's when they surrendered to Korans.
