After the end of World War I, Woodrow Wilson, the President of USA, went to Europe to arrange postwar world order.
He proposed a League of Nations, somewhat like UN today.
However, there were a lot of isolationists in USA, led by the Republicans.
In Nov 1920 , the Republican-led congress refused to ratify the League of Nations, effectively making it meaningless. Shortly after, Warren Harding, a Republican from Ohio whose only merit was his good looks (he used his looks to seduce secretaries, which might be why he mysteriously died from a voyage to Alaska in 1923) was elected President. He is considered the worst US president of all time, since while he was busy womanizing he let his corrupt cronies to run everything.
Wilson died as an invalid, a defeated man. In late 1918 he was the greatest man on earth, and in 1921 he was nothing.
It took another world war to convince the Americans to have a world governing organization.

KPop had a strange dual system, the international KPop and the domestic system, which does include trot but generally Trot is not considered to be a genre of Pop.
For the period of 2010-2021, and at least for the critical moment of 2017-2021 when BTS had conquered the world, the K-O-R-E-A-N-S considered a balladist, a domesticist and someone who can never feel an arena outside of K-O-R-E-A as its greatest singer.
No act, even the mighty BTS, could not ignore the then-owner of Edam Entertainment, Lee Jieun.
Lee Jieun's power reached its height in late 2021 after she defeated aespa, a move which has had a huge negative impact in aespa's general course, and re-climbed the Throne of KPop , showing BTS is NOT invincible and is vulnerable by a domestic threat, and got to be ranked #9 in the list of the most awarded singer of the WORLD despite of releasing nothing outside of K-O-R-E-A.
It had an enormous impact on the minds of the K-O-R-E-A-N-S, especially the K-O-R-E-A-N men of 20s and 30s, traditionally Lee Jieun's strongest supporters, cry like wild beasts to drag BTS to the military , ending its empire. (Let's be real. I have written many times that their comeback in 2026 will end up like Waterloo, but it might come within this month if Fifty Fifty beats BTS' new song in the Billboard Hot 100.)
However,it seems Fifty Fifty will also end the reverence on K-O-R-E-A's greatest domesticist of all as well. FF has NEVER acknowledged the power of Lee Jieun , and treats her as being nonexistent.
That might remove a big shackle the 4th Gen have on the domestic system. By defeating BTS, FF ends the dual system of KPop, also making its greatest domesticist irrelevant.
It might be unpleasant to see BTS defeated by essentially a nugu act and becoming irrelevant to end the long lasting dual system of KPop where a domesticist had as much power as the act which conquered the world, but if destiny leads to this, then that might be what the dude in the upstairs had intended for.
