    The one time where them being independent artists with no US label is to their detriment because the "gp" can never experience a true BTS payola era. :emotionalpepe: (Geffen is ultimately useless because they call it a day just distributing the album)


    For comparison, Ed Sheeran's latest song which dropped the same day as Like Crazy has already left Spotify US. His fans are not bothered enough to stream or buy his music but he still landed 31M airplay. Forced passive listening/payola is the "gp" everyone is playing at but BigHit.


    So my question to AKP ARMY is, do you want this "gp" experience for BTS if it means their label is the one paying for radio spins or do you prefer how it is now with actual fans buying + streaming their music and requesting for their songs to be played on radio?

    I still am stunned Hybe didn't even let it be made available for airplay (almost everyone does this, even if it not pushing for adds which also is a bare minimum service.) I'm so curious about the discussions in the boardroom sometimes.

    Hybe is just useless. I am not talking that their songs should be played like edshireen or justin beiber but label should atleast put a little bit of work

    Fans don't have ATM lying around and with constant new releases, if gp is not picking up a song it will definitely free fall. And then it will result in bad publicity. Fans can't buy and support 5-6 songs every week. Label should actually work to push their music towards gp but its Hybe and they will proudly write articles how bts are totally fan supported. Then what are you here for :boredr:

    UK Radio at least is logical and is largely tied to what's charting. It's weird how the Hot 100 ranking doesn't result in some kind of universal chart show on US radio stations. Everything is so privately owned and separate that even American Top 40, the program, is the chart show stations play which has nothing to do w Hot 100. 🤷🏻‍♀️
