These people explained it really well - https://youtu.be/M5k_vwbie9g
The basic gist is understandable - it's about a breakup and all that is left of the love is metaphorically mentioned as "just the scent" something of a short, sweet memory
However, these guys explained how poetic the lyrics are. The lyrics even follow the structure of a Korean poem it seems. Almost every line compares the different stages of love (and mixed regret or grief). The petals were blowing in the wind (they do the moving choreo as well to this), the petals flew away, and all that is left of the foundation of love is the leaf on the plant.
I personally got excited because I love reading metaphors in a poem and the lyrics aren't as simple or straightforward. In fact the youtube subtitles on the official video are not really correct, so one cannot understand the full impact of the lyrics.
This kind of put a new perspective to the song because all the other new kpop songs, equally meaningful if not more, are very direct. Jisoo has always been very traditional and tied to Korean roots, so it all made sense now. While some kpop songs move in a more western direction, specially with all english lyrics, this song actually seems more fresh.
