Can y’all explain to me what the fentanyl fad is all about

    I’ve been hearing for years about fentanyl being one of the most popular drugs, that the CCP and Mexican cartels work together with corrupt US politicians to make profit, and that it has killed millions of people, especially kids. Yet I’ve never heard of anyone in specific using fentanyl. Is it really used that much among youth? I don’t keep up with western trends since 2001

    Well the reason why you’ve probably heard about it killing so many children(I’m assuming teenagers?) and people in general is because a lot of the time people don’t actually know that they’re taking it lol.

    They go and purchase what they think is another drug,(in my experience a lot of people think they’re purchasing straight heroin) but the supplier of the drug could have potentially cut whatever drug in question with fentanyl because it’s cheaper that way(sometimes the drug is laced with fentanyl too, lots of instances of marijuana being laced with it). I know recently there was a story of a 17 year old girl that thought she was taking LSD, but it turned out to be fentanyl instead and she died.

    It’s an awful fucking drug man one hit and you’re either addicted or your dead. They’ve even started stetting up free narcan dispensers around my city because the problem is really bad in some areas
