Why did kpop fans become like this?

I would rather have my faves being ambassadors to projects that benefit the planet and society rather than so called luxury brand that just makes already rich people become richer and just being wasteful to the environment.

You just answered why idols promoting "planting trees" has been met with so much hostility....they're in an industry that's fundamentally harmful to the earth, everything from promoting mass buying albums that end up filling up landfills to promoting luxury brands like you said. It comes off as performative.
