Interesting.. in Malay folklore, we have toyol, which was said to be dead babies summoned by shaman.. it is tiny and green in colour. The shaman use the toyol to steal money from people, they are very sneaky and can get into anything. Here’s the description

but than again I heard a lot of random other myths either from my country or from around the globe so I'm actually not too surprised that this is a thing somewhere
