We have them in my country, not exactly the same flavors as Japan but we at least have some (even tho you mostly only find the milk chocolate one everywhere. I miss the time when we had those who had thicc chocolate with a swirl of other chocolate on top). It's just that for whatever reason they chose to re-name it.
Also we have some fakes here too. Somehow a few years ago some different brands decided they wanted to copy it
I also had this one Korean brand once who makes sticks too but it was meh in my opinion and I didn't quit got how the Korean one was apparently awarded with a Michelin star. I thought "odd this is just a random candy" and cause I thought only restaurants get Michelin stars
