  • Wow, there is no easy answer for this. There's a really good chance that 98% of the guys are just as uneasy as you! Being a teenager, especially in High School = being awkward. I'm 41 and scared to death of the opposite sex and I've had relationships, been married and divorced. But the one thing that has made the difference between being able to deal with interactions with women and not running away screaming is realizing I'm worthy of them just as they are worthy of me. Everyone has an inherit value equal to everyone else. The ugliest girl is no less valuable than the hottest. The most macho dude is no more valuable than wimpy guy. The other thing especially for you to remember is you have all the time in the world to date, have relationships, be friends, fall in love, fall out of love, have your heart broken, get married, have kids, etc. There is no rush! When you interact with guys just have fun. At any age that's what relationships should be, is fun. Also, set yourself some rules. How you want to be treated. Set your limits and stick to them. If someone breaks those rules how do you respond? Don't ever let anyone make you feel uncomfortable or scared. Hopefully that's helpful.

  • what they even do to make u feel that way?

smths it never goes away until u deeply meet someone and u cant just get personal like that with just anybody

smth u don't need to force yourself to do all that

  • being a guy that has been through high school, I will say that I had the same issue as well.

also find something to have in common.

Dance classes are usually the better of the bunch but marching band or just music in general is nice.

if you practice music, and your section of the orchestra or band is even halfway dedicated, you'd need to do section practices where you'd meet up elsewhere and practice together.

Pick your poison so to speak.

  • ive found it easy to just talk to them or ask them for a pencil or a charger when needed and slowly ease into it. dont force yourself to be comfortable, it wont work out
