Why do people talk about actress disease like it's a bad thing? Be honest, you would wish your faves get big as an actress too.

Why do people talk about actress disease like it's a bad thing.

Actors and actresses are much more respected in the industry, and idols who get respect for their acting are often hugely successful and are actually A-list celebrities in the industry.

When people say actress disease, I subconsciously think that they're just jealous that their faves aren't acting or rather only act in small roles and web-dramas, so they act like it's a bad thing.

Be honest. If your faves are in demand in the acting scene in dramas and films, they get endorsements, CFs, public recognition, hosting roles and all that that comes with it. You wish your faves had actress disease too.

  • Actor disease means they get arrogant and think they're better than everyone else. There have been cases were actors were rude around staff, fellow actors or even fans.

If you think your faves behaving like that is a non issue then either you stan already shitty people or you like it when people are rude to you

Is actor's disease overblown though? I mean here in Hollywood, everyone expects actors and celebrities in general to act like assholes and bitches. Nobody bats an eye, in fact it is even encouraged by many fans and even the celebrity's management as part of their "persona".

  • You really think that's the reason why they use the term "actress disease"?

The 1st reply explained it well

Haven't we learned from Irene and a lot of staff that spoke up about MANY idols acting the same way that it isn't just an "actor" disease

  • It's not a bad thing, actors are generally more famous and respected than idols in SK. I know many bts fans who got into bts because of V's drama and even tho snowdrop was a flop in SK, it Made Jisoo huge in kdrama communities.

That's not necessarily what it means. In cases of idols, 배우병 means that they start thinking that they're actors and actresses, and doesn't get back to their roots of singing and being an idol.
