Why does Sakura give up center position in AKB Japan to be in Le sserafim where she gets few lines?

  • She gets way more spotlight in Japan than in Korea, no? Why did she give that up?

  • best decision from her. compare nako and hitomi's relevancy to her and you know the answer

  • Why is it this same question always gets asked 11290000987117 times? Maybe because the 48 groups are a flop in Japan right now? This isn't the 2010s. Nogizaka and Hinatazaka or wte they are called have surpassed the 48 groups in relevancy. This year none of Sakura's old group were even invited to Kouhaku Uta Gassen, meanwhile Sakura will be there with Lesserafim. How much more needs to be said?

This is coorect. Even Nako graduated to go into acting. HKT/AKB is now purely fandom driven. And Sakura is now 24 and with 11 years already in the HKT/AKB system, maybe it's a good time to spread her wings and achieve international stardom. Soon she will be able to travel and do concerts in all parts of Asia, the US, and maybe even Europe.

  • Id imagine that unless your name is Maeda asuko, Oshima Yuko or Sashihara rino, the pay you can command from being in a group like lesserafim is 10x what you will ever get in akb48, for half the grind.

  • not this again

you might as well ask why she joined Izone where she got even fewer lines and spotlight.

Honestly she might be last or 2nd to last in LSF but they're a 5-member group, she still gets plenty. And she gets solo covers, big stage performances, went viral for their MMA dance break where she was center for the Hydra bit, has even got her own solo Korean variety show. LSF are probably gonna have a world tour next year. Sakura knows what she's doing.

  • Sakura made the right decision if she wants to see the world.

  • LSFM is a good group because every member shines. I'm sure she's very happy with the decision she made right now since the group is becoming hugely successful. 100% Equal line distribution is just never going to happen, the main and lead vocals will always have more parts and that's for the best.

Right now LSFM has the potential to possibly even become the #1 GG in the world, given time. I'd imagine this is pretty much a best case scenario of what Sakura might have wished for when she left for Korea. I really doubt she is unhappy with the situation.

  • Who wouldn't want to debut under "HYBE's first ever highly anticipated GG"? Like be fr. Izone wasn't even that popular internationally and she still got so much popular, why'd she want to go to a closeted industry and watch even her unpopular fellows have more exposure/be more popular than her?

  • She said in the documentary that she wanted less lines because she's not confident in her voice. And even with less lines, she shines, she isn't always in the back, she doesn't look like a filler member. She has center time and is charismatic.

Let's hope with each comeback she'll get more and more confident in her voice

Picking hybe who focuses on foreign market as well and japan who sticks to japan only; i think it's a no brainer why she picked hybe

  • She wanted to become a worldwide idol. And AKB48 is a sinking ship. She made the right choice lol

  • Best decision she ever made to dump the sinking ship of 48 and join a bunch of elite members to be top GG
