Why do people only talk about Hybe groups these days?

    MMAs has some cool performances by Monsta X and Gidle but all the conversations are about Hybe. Why do non Hybe groups get ignored?

    I doubt its about people genuinely wanting to ignore the others.


    It just so happened that HYBE groups did the best performance wise, and also had pretty good listenable songs + storytelling.


    They all have a certain concept and lore they stick to, and it fits well into a performance.


    Even each group besides newjeans has their own webtoon.


    This definitely was HYBE year all around.


    And I'm placing my bets on them to dominate next year too

    This was HYBE's year, out of all the other agencies. They went from having 0 massive gg's to having top-tier ggs LSRFM and NewJeans, all in less than a year

    You do know that the number of viewers dropped by over a million when BTS stopped attending last year don’t you? For both MMA and Mama. I also remember a lot of complaints about not just Aespa’s performance but anyone not named Itzy. Apparently last year and this year has been a snooze fest. This year doesn’t have as many complaints but they are still there. When BTS performed, the only complaints I heard was about how long it was and how unfair it was. Your typical complaints from kpop fans about how BTS don’t deserve anything and how unfair it is to all other groups. But you rarely heard that BTS didn’t put on a good show or perform their ass off.

    SM groups are usually the most polished and successful, so do you really think all those opinions are unbiased? I'm sure that user meant Korea and it's true. Korea loves Aespa and their end year perfs were big last year.

    This year was extremely boring... No viral parts and no actually good performances.
