Do you think hybe/source music made the right decision to disband Gfriend?

after seeing how lesserafim did so well physically and digitally and the Gfriend members unit didn't made any noise, i think they made the right decision.

personally no I dont think so because I REALLY liked the direction they were going with their music and MAGO sounds fresh till today, but also objectivelly speaking I dont think MAGO did as good as any lesserafim track (someone correct me if im wrong) so I can see how the company would think they wouldn't go anywhere further as a group and some members were probably pressuring for solo works which is understanable as individuals but also something that could be extremly damaging to the group in that time

But it was so unethical considering gfriend was the reason soumu is even standing today. Its like bighit disbanding bts.

Yes, financially speaking. They can't sold above 100k when Lsf already sell 700k albums in one cb less in a year. And their digital not really that strong anymore. Lsf have Sakura who get a lots of CF and BA, and other members are getting more love calls as well from magazines, cfs and brands which GF unfortunately, not really that popular as a group or individuals to get this much offers.

So, in conclusion Lsf are more profitable in their less than one years career than Gf in their 7 years career. From fans perspective, of course it's cruel but company is not a charity house in the end of the day. They need profits to show to the investors.

I thought HYBE had no intention to disband Gfriend... They gave to group such good songs... Apple and Mago were very good imho. Hybe is really interesting regarding producing songs. No one gives best songs to group with no future... But maybe when audience didn't respond as it was expected... changed their mind

Yeah bts really spoiled them, they disbanded NU'EST and gfriend both because they weren't making any noise. Watch them disband every group who doesn't catch audience' attention in future.
