IFPI to have TWO GLOBAL ALBUM CHARTs for 2020.. revealed tomorrow and thursday

  • I've come to learn that whenever BTS breaks a record, some sort of rules are changed in response. My theory on why they are adding that second chart is because BTS topped the first. They need a second one, one where westerns have the advantage to make themselves happy 🙃

BTS will top both charts, if theyre being fair.

UWC takes both sales and streams into account and BTS has top 2 albums of 2020.

Even on Spotify the difference between After Hours and MOTS7 is 1.7 billion streams, which is 1.1 million album units using RIAA ratio. And MOTS7 has sold 4.4 million physical albums, that more than makes up the gap.

  • It could be because kpop albums took over the pure sales chart lol so they made another for western acts to be on

Its probably this. It will be kpop, Kenshi Yonezu and maybe some more Japanese acts if the weigh up Japanese pure sales.
