le_sserafim 'ANTIFRAGILE' has now surpassed

  • Yep, I think after their debut, when the whole Garam debacle came to the spotlight, people didn't know what to think about the group. But they really made a comeback with this one. It's a great song too!

I agree. It really felt like people didn't know whether they should follow them or not since no one even knew if Garam would continue with them or not 😔 i'm glad to see them thriving like this after what they went through during their debut

Yep, exactly! It was all kind of a crazy thing and I know that some people were wondering if this would destroy lsfm's reputation as a whole. But they really came back stronger than ever with their comeback. They really always had the potential to become popular but Antifragile is that breakthrough point. Even Garam undoubtedly had the potential to be popular if it wasn't for that scandal. She was extremely praised for her visuals especially before the whole scandal came to light.

I was wondering the same actually. I was following Sakura and Chaewon because of Iz*One and was excited for their debut so when all of this started going down..oof..

But yeah they have crazy potential. Huge stan attactors in the group too, i did believe that in the long run they were bound to do well, but did i expect them to smash so quickly? not really lol

And very true about Garam. Not like she was lacking in anything and she was pretty too. But well..what happened, happened..realistically had she stayed in the group she'd would have "dragged" them down. I do genuinely believe this would haunt her for her whole career. Would also fuck up the groups dynamics :(

Yeah same. I actually became a pretty avid listener of Iz*one after they disbanded so I didn't really get to know the members well. Them debuting as solo artists or in other groups really opens that up for me and definitely creates for new member interactions.

They really did tbh. And I think we were all kind of surprised by how quickly the group bounced back from the scandal. I'd imagined there being some healing time between fans and the GP, in general.

And I completely agree with Garam. She was receiving a lot of praise when she debuted because there was a period of time where there was no evidence that came to light about Garam's scandal and that was a pretty nice and peaceful time. And let's be honest here, the whole thing was bringing a bad light to the group as a whole so if Garam were to stay in the group, it would kind of just bring the whole group down. We've seen it before, too. Where a member's scandal (or involving multiple members) causes the group to be put into a bad light as well. And some groups as a whole haven't been so lucky.

I believe they did it at the perfect time too. Garam didn't have a whole lot of fans though without the bullying scandal, though I do believe she had the potential to be probably the most popular non-former Iz*one member of the group. LE SSERAFIM was still building their fanbase because that's what all artists try to do at their debut. And if it went on for any longer, the whole project could've been brought down due to the ongoing issue. Tbh, people didn't stop quieting down about it until Garam inevitably left the group.

  • Hah it was kind of the same for me too actually. I got into Iz*one very very late..pretty much when they were about to disband unfortunately..and i agree. If i'm gonna be honest i wasn't very interested in all of the members during Iz*one, but seeing them in groups or solo really showed them in a different light to me.

Yeap, i was also more or less not paying much attention to the scandal at first since we had seen similar cases over and over happening to newly debuted girl groups from big companies. When the document came out and everyone started talking about it, and obviously Le Sserafim, i could see the negative attention it was bringing instead..people were uncomfortable..understandably so.

Yeah thankfully it came out at a time where Le Sserafim were barely rising and starting and Garam wasnt a core member, neither for the group's abilities nor the fandom, so in that way it was "easier" to let her go. And they were able to bounce back the way they did because of that and like i said, the group is full of stan attractors.

It's a bit upsetting to see people still bringing Garam up when talking about the group though ;( To a degree its understandable, but..
