Why are the reactions so different for lipsyncing towards aespa vs. ive & nj?

    Why are the reactions so different especially on allkpop? Aespa got SO much hate for lipsyncing from other fandoms especially from Blinks (just search the threads on allkpop, mostly blinks camping) compared to ive and nj. Don't say it's because of SM mediaplaying Coachella because news flash: ALL big companies mediaplay especially YG. Or that one comparison article made by justjared people love to bring up that an intern probably just RTd without reading. The only explanation is that these fans are actually threatened by aespa.

    i think people hyped up aespa vocals so much that having them lipsync all the time disappointed them


    whereas for nj and ive, people dont even care about their skills

    its all about visuals and public friendly pop music

    NJ and IVE aren't known for their vocals unlike Aespa, so it doesn't even matter to them if they lipsync.

    ive and new jeans stans don't go around bragging they have the best singing skills ever in kpop like the superior complex sm stans/ mys were showing to everyone.

    With Aespa it's the only thing to talk about really. I mean nobodies going to talk about their amazing stage presence are they lol.

    The thing is, IVE and NJ they do lipsync, but it's not like 100% of the time unlike aespa until coachella

    IVE sung live at all festivals this past week and they sung live before, they aren't marketed as vocal group either as aespa, aespa lip synced everything until Coachella and was marketed as vocal group, all their stans are using their vocal as excuse for everything else


    Newjeans barely debuted.

    Cause at least NJ and IVE have stage presence instead of looking like pokerface robots on stage

    I'm just going to leave this here for people who think IVE never sings live since they clearly still exist


    You can't really equate the 2, IVE has tons of live performances while I've seen only seen two total for aespa. If there's more then I've managed to miss them. Of course the reaction would be different. Aespa fans are also presenting the group as having the best vocals in k-pop so it makes for a real easy target when they lipsync. IVE on the other hand is not known for having strong vocals to begin with.


    I've seen multiple live performances from NJ as well and they just debuted so..

    Because Blackpink and Twice were threatened by Aespa's rise last year. Ive and New Jeans have already surpassed those two old groups and it's 4th gen's time now so Blink and Once have been humbled with their most recent flops.

    Alsp atleast ive and nj makes up for the performance when lipsyncing. Aespa does not.

    well, only one was touted as the best vocalists ntm it's the only thing they're not lacking in but aren't showing it.

    You guys are seriously crazy, how can you compare a group with amazing vocalists lipsyncing to two groups with NO real vocalist lipsyncing?

    Huge difference, Aespa lipsync cause they're told to and can still sing live perfectly fine. (aeschella)

    Ive and Nj lipsync because they can't hold a note live and have no good singers.

    The excuses in here are funny.....

    Aespa got 20k quote rts and many viral hate tweets making fun of their lipsyncing/performance skills.

    Just shows how much people hate SM groups.

    at least they sing live and dont look like robots dancing, cant say the same for aespa

    Just watched both performances and if we compare them both to Aeschella you will see why people shouldn't speak on Aespa


    IVE can't hold a note live and when they did quietly sing over the loud backtrack it was off key lol. They have weak choreo so I don't understand why they can't keep their breathe


    Newjeans live was the same they had a loud back track and you can hear them out of breathe from barely performing


    There is a reason why Aespa was the only 4th gen group allowed to perform at Coachella and not them


    Aespa can when they want to, your favs couldn't if they tried

    They are terrible lipsyncers that don't even try and sell the illusion at all

    Also, they don't particularly compensate for the lipsyncing by being strong dancers or stage performers in any other way

    They are out of sync, no real presence and some keep flubbing the dance moves AND the lip sync poorly

    Probably because SM stans are perpetually screaming to the heavens about their faves vocals yet somehow, said faves never sing live. lol

    maybe if they looked alive on stage and their stans won't scream about vocals every 2 other minutes, they won't get bashed to high havens for something their fans preached, if you hype your fave vocals to high haven and they lip sync 99.9% of times, on point of lip sync they barely have any energy, they don't even bother to pretend they lip sync and looks like SM forced them to be on stage, they are just bad performes in general, the lip sync just add to it

    the difference is because aespa did it all the time before coachella

    Mys act deranged when it comes to Aespa's vocals and use it to attack other groups. So obviously, this will only cause Aespa to receive more hate. But Mys clearly struggle to understand the meaning of 'cause and effect'.

    People have been saying this all along. aespa and Ive would lipsync on the same show and only aespa would get dragged for it.

    This was recent. Black mama and Next level are live with some backing track. Girls is lip sync in pretty sure because the change in audio quality is noticeable.


    A thing I’ve noticed is that Ningning adjusts her mic when she’s singing live but doesn’t do it when the performances are lip sync, so it’s a good way to notice.

    Adding one more performance that is missing from 702 reply. This is Tokyo Girls Collection fashion show. They sing Black Mamba and Next Level live but lipsync Girls. And you can totally hear the differences between Girls and Black Mamba/Next Level live.
