Why couldn’t Pink Venom/Shut Down blow up in the US like Dynamite?

Blackpink songs always do well but it never does well enough to chart top 5 Billboard 100 and be their US breakthrough. Why don’t Americans take Blackpink more seriously?

well, Blackpink never had good promotion there like BTS and Dynamite is an english song. Their non english songs before Dynamite did very well but you can't compare that with Dynamite. Before Dynamite their songs did great because of fanpower and good promotion but Dynamite was doing great because is the type of song people there like. The same goes for Butter. With Dynamite BTS status in the US changed.

Blackpink needs a great english song plus great promotion then I can see them enter the TOP 10.

songs aren't fully in English, Americans like everything in English because they understand it. Also dynamite is more public friendly. Both blackpink songs are hip hop based and it's hard especially when they are asians

Blackpink is not close to BTS level.

BTS entered top 10 in 2018. With fake love. It is the most kpop song out there. No English. Stop the excuses. Blackpink aren't as popular as people think in the US. That is the real reason.

Because Blinks like to think BP are on the same level as BTS when in reality they are faaaaar behind. They're doing excellent for a kpop group no doubt but compared to BTS? Lol no, blinks are delusional if they think BP are on the same level as invited to multiple award shows, having multiple number 1 songs, featured on every news site and publications and so on.

Bp can't pronunciation the English parts of their songs properly yet they continue to rap and sing in it.

CL/Bom and Bigbang were much better singing/rapping in English.

Rose's the only one I can understand since she's fluent but as for the rest, I doubt they could ever break into the US market with that kind of pronunciation.

Fake love went top 10 back in 2018 and it had less promo than dynamite or pink venom. It’s high time blinks understand that BP is just not as popular as BTS

Not if Teddy touches it. BP lyrics are so bad it will literally be ridiculed and thus no one will take it seriously in the US.

BTS has a larger fanbase and higher awareness for the GP and they led with Dynamite, a bright and bubbly fully English pop song. So is Butter. It’s very GP friendly.

You overestimate the American public if you think dopey lyrics or authenticity are a dealbreaker.

it's probably one of bts' most lyrical beautiful & poetic lyrics

bp songs not being to reach that level, even when they have 20x the promotion bts did in 2018 means they are just not as big & it's really time blinks start to accept it...

bp has done well, becoming the biggest gg. no need to force anything more.
