How is After Like beating Attention?

    attention really isnt an exceptional song

    its hyped cause new debut

    two comebacks later newjeans wont be close to Ive

    IVE is the it group in Korea. Attention did good and it’s a stellar debut song (achievement-wise). So both groups win

    new jeans aren't on every variety show in korea so their songs don't have wider reach

    they also promoted 3 songs at once so the hype got split up between 3 tracks.

    That's not the reason. After like is simply more liked. Newjeans had one of the best promotional strategies so i don't think nj fans should come for a group for doing promotions.

    Because tv and variety promo doesn't always work. Attention wouldn't have become any bigger with them. Also what big tv promo did after like have? Newjeans stans mad after they spend their whole time making fun of ive only for ive to overtake attention.

    They are doing it to ive. It'll happen to NJ too. Anything successful will be credited to promo who's doing this and that. But that's what companies are supposed to do and promote their artist.

    tv and variety promo doesn’t always work, but that also means it does sometimes work. you have to be delusional if you think after like didn’t benefit from constantly being blasted on tv especially on earth arcade. that would be like itzy stans denying the impact of chaeryeong on tv promo helping sneakers on charts. you can’t brag about yujin being an it girl and most popular cast member of the most popular variety show right now and then in the same breath claim that tv show is irrelevant and didn’t help with after like’s charting lol

    the mental gymnastics to bend logic wherever you see fit to make your faves the prevailing victim underdogs is laughable

    no one made fun of ive. it's y'all ive stans felt triggered when people say new jeans deserve ROTY beside IVE and downplayed new jeans even before they dropped their songs.

    Anyway, no one can really say for sure how Attention would become if it was a stand alone single or promoted more on tv. you think it wouldn't get bigger but i think otherwise. It can't be proven anyway so let's agree to disagree ig.

    Next time New Jeans go on variety shows, I hope IVE stans won't jump them for having 'big 4 privilege' or good promos, since y'all are denying all the promos IVE did right now.

    Ive fans are becoming typical success stans, jumping on nugu groups that slightly threaten their beloved nation's gg.

    Because people liked after like that's why it worked. It worked for itzy because people liked sneakers. I never called yujin a it girl so that's not on me. She is bigger than nation love minji that's a guarantee. Also aren't new jeans stans who play the victim the most? Always using age and no promotion excuse for everything.
