Will exo or red velvet succeed in west if they had push and promo like nct127 and aespa?

    Both groups are awesome and still have great potential.

    Stop rehashing the past. I think nope, none of them would have succeeded. Maybe the next upcoming SM group (excluding NCT) if SM markets them well.

    No. Exo fit the kpop stereotype too perfectly. They would not survive the brutal western stans and media. Exols were not as dedicated, knowledgeable and organised as army. Redvelvet also fits the kpop stereotype perfectly. It will be impossible for the west to accept them.

    Only the velvet songs from RV were able to do well

    Think EXO would have had a better chance than NCT. NCT's concept isn't western friendly


    Red Velvet is a hit or miss. Depends on their promotion. Some of their comebacks are probably a bit too weird to appeal to western fans as a whole

    no.no matter how you push an act with no organic demand the outcome will be the same

    I think they could have been twice level popular with slightly more push yes.

    Maybe. EXO have demand and have performed sold out concerts there in the past. We will never know though as SM won't push them there because their focus has always been NCT in the west.

    Exo definitely because of their music, especially some of their early music, RV will need to get rid of their red side because their velvet side would be really popular, i do see them become more popular with more push
