I always see people call his album a flop. Is this true?

your faves have physical copies, you had something to buy. be grateful. jype already announced that they will be switching to jhope's type of albums

he flopped in korea that's all i care.

Kcharts - he flopped so hard lmao
Spotify - doing decently and his bsides are also gaining nice streams, that's quite good.
YouTube - no comments
BB charts - quite good, he debuted two singles there.
Album sale - i think we shouldn't judge his sales because hybe literally sabotaged his album and physical copies. I think if he released it like a normal kpop release, his album would have easily become the most sold out kpop soloist album until the next BTS member solo debut.
Live shows- his pit had more than 100k+ attendees on that festival which is impressive asf for a kpop soloist.
Conclusion - he flopped on some aspects and did great on others, so i don't really think he flopped just did average numbers.

only platforum he didn't do well on was kcharts... unless your fav pulls 100k live audience + 15m online viewers, i don't think you can say jhope flopped
he did 500k with NO physical album... thats pretty much the same as rosé and nayeon and they had physicals.
no other soloist (except for other bts members) is doing that

Too few sales considering he's a bts member, great not THAT great in international streaming metrics as well, just flopped in korea. Overall i dont think it's that bad. Keep in mind it's just his solo debut. Once he gets some heat going on he'll do better for sure.
Coming from a fan of another group
Genuine question because I see people saying this all the time and it confuses me (i know you say you're not a fan of the group so maybe you can't answer but). How is this his solo debut when he's already released an album prior to this? Is it because his past album was a mixtape whereas this one is a studio album?
