sm managed to find a whole new venue for them in a month after some of the boys got covid and they had to cancel, but the biggest girl group in the world and yg's connection couldn't book them???

Everybody and their mama knew bp would go on tour. BP are not as big in SK as their fans think. IU had 400k people but blinks bragged about 21k people and compared their fav to ROOKIES. And they have the nerve to act like bp are on bts level.

It is funny to see all these claims of "XYZ GG can also do Jamsil Main"..

Well the stadium has been there for decades, BP hasd 4 years before COVID.. whatever stopped BP or GGs from booking it.. Other GGs even longer.

Instead of these excuses at this point? Accusing YG etc

The reality is Korea doesn't have a concert going culture and in that GGs don't have the fandom pull in S.Korea to sell out 50K concerts..

The other option is immense pull on the GP, to overcome that cultural resistance, which IU has achieved.

Korea doesn’t have a very big concert going culture. Even within the singers who have performed in Jamsil stadium, only 4 artists(HOT, Cho Yong-Pil, BTS, IU) have been able to hold concerts with over 40k capacity per day. And of course Big Bang, who did a 70k+ concert in Sang-am world cup stadium. You can see that these singers either have a huge fandom or have massive GP support. No girl group in the past has had either, including BP.

The biggest K-pop acts in the world, aren't the greatest act in their home country.

Overall Koreans don't even prefer K-pop that much and then actually prefer soloists etc. than idol group music.

The groups that have managed to transcend that cultural preference but "only to an extent" are BigBang, BTS.

So no, BP can't fill 40000+ at this point and neither can any other GG.

Also RV was supposedly having a concert in march and got covid, they still haven't been able to re schedule it, booking venues is a big deal in SK. Be grateful yg only could book the kspo dome in time and not any other bigger because outside of Twice, there is not other gg that can afford go bigger than kspo dome.

Don’t be stupid. You think if BP could sell out a stadium, YG won’t book it for them? It’s great for mediaplay and earnings. He will do it.

The only reason why he didn’t is because BP can’t play a full stadium in Korea yet
