Did IVE and possibly newjeans success make SM delay Aespa's comeback to next year?

    Ningning has confirmed Aespa will not be coming back this year and a supposed leak showed they could comeback mid-late 2023.


    Since Girls came out 4th gen has gotten very competitive and Aespa has lot their top 4th gen spot to IVE last month.


    Plus newjeans automatic success at debut and growing fanbase, it's only going to get more hard for Aespa to compete.


    Now is the time SM should be giving Aespa amazing songs with huge promo but instead another 9-11 month hiatus.


    Yes, Girls underperformed but Aespa are still rookies and only BP can pull off this method.


    This hiatus will hurt them a lot........

    yup it's obvious they seemed really cocky when girls was released but all of a sudden everything for aespa is getting delayed for another year also they might be debuting a new gg next year so aespa might be the next red velvet

    I still think aespa as a 4 member group doesn't looks complete. giselle dancing skills wouldn't be noticed that much if the group were of 7 girls for example

    there are this theory of "KWANGYA" based member...
    K for Karina, W for Winter, N for Ningning and so there are A, Y, A left.

    girls underperformed globally (and esp in america) so their american distributer might've pulled investments, affecting sm's plan for aespa's next release.

    agreed, maybe that's the reason, or maybe they don't have good songs prepared

    investors pulling out seems most obvious

    that and possibly lack of decent producers/songwriters

    Delayed because of nct 2022 also there's world cup in November

    it's obvious since they were hinting a cb coming soon during all of girls era, but i feel bad for them

    a hiatus now is literally the worst thing sm could do to them considering ive and nj are not losing any momentum...by the time aespa comes back they will lose even more of their hype


    i guess investors pulled out + sm lost a lot of money on the girls rollout so they want to play it safe with nct and even the rumored exo album which will sell a lot with like 1/4 of the investment that was spent on Aespa's teasers/mv sets/promotions

    the albums are sold too cheap to make enough profit even when the album sales numbers go up.

    The album sales is inflated with cheap copies. Nobody saying their are fraud but Circle did change ranking because groups like Aespa are selling albums dirt cheap to get high sales.

    sm being their incompetent self causing the delay is 1000x more realistic than ive or newjeans or other ggs causing this lol. Be serious yall.

    no one is saying the gaon sales are fraudulent, they're saying the majority of the 1.8 million albums sold were digipacks and sm didn't make that much profit off $8-10 albums.
