    Approved the thread.
  • IVE being the new NGG+global queens, NewJeans smash debut like 2ne1+huge trend and Aespa leading at first but then getting overshadowed like WGs?

    Yup, that sounds about right.

  • lmao pls. i wasnt around for 2nd gen but i always just assumed sistar was the most popular internationally because i rmbr acc hearing a song of theirs in some American show

Clearly you you weren’t around because you it absolutely wrong lmao. Sistar were one of the least popular ggs outside Korea. Pretty much every other gg was more popular in comparison, not just the big 3 ggs but also form smaller labels like T-ara, Kara, Girls Day etc.

SNSD was most popular across the board in very reigon. 2NE1 were close to them in America but far behind everywhere else. T-are were making ways up there till their scandal finished them. Kara were big in Asia especially Japan. Fx were pretty big too.

  • but ive is the most popular internationally out of the 3?

That won't last long. New Jeans is set up to steal everyone's thunder, especially in the west. Westerners hate gimmicks and all the other groups are too gimmicky. New Jeans is really a breath of fresh air. They have no weak members either. All of the girls stand out equally. If they keep up with the good songs and find ways to showcase their personalities without being pretentious, I think they could be huge.

Exactly you "think". I don't think anyone talked this big about Ive but look at them now, only behind BP and BTS. You talk too big for a group that had to be added to one of the biggest playlists to do better on spotify.
