I work as an editor for films (nothing big just local productions) and every professional uses adobe premiere.

premiere pro, all professional editors use it at least in movies where I've worked in as an editor. I assume its the same for them.

ah yeah adobe suite is like industry standard for like… a lot of things from photoshop, to illustrator, to premiere, etc.
Animation is interesting. Some use animate, but a lot of animators like toon boom..l at least for 2d animation.
Toon Boom is better for puppet animation anyways.

It wasn't a big movie or anything. I reached out to a local director to offer my services to gain experience. Most likely the movie will never see the light of day. But being on the set, even if it was small with all volunteers and rented equipment it still was so cool.
