I went to the Seventeen concert in Seattle....

  • Posting this in anons because I don't like sharing too much personal information on my account but I wanna talk about this and don't want to post about it on my social media where real life friends will see lmaoo

I just went to Seventeen's Seattle concert last night and it was just crazy awesome! Hella fun and high energy, the dudes are great performers and some of the members are crazy charismatic! I've always liked Seventeen and been a fan for a while but I was never a super fan or anything and my expectations were low bc I didn't know what to expect. It was awesome and I need to go to more kpop concerts now! This was my first kpop concert. The friend I went with wasn't even a fan but said it was the best concert they've ever been to and I've gotta agree :pepe-cowboy: It was so hyped! The vocal and rap were live and the dance was crazy and the performance value was insane. So much fire, lasers, crazy bass, confetti, and the vibe in the audience was also great. There were also more guys and people my age in the crowd too than expected which helped with not feeling out of place

Seventeen was super funny and interactive, they had so much personality and felt so natural that even the longer talking parts were still entertaining. The guys didn't have the stiff or robotic vibe I was worried about. Seungkwan and Hoshi have become my favorites after this too. Hoshi especially was hella funny and kept calling himself Hoseattle and making Seattle puns like long time, no seattle. Some cheesy fanservice but not much and most of the talks were either genuine thankfulness to the support or pure fun and stupid jokes. I was further away because I mainly got tickets cause they were cheap but the energy was felt even where I was :pepe-dj:

I can't accurately describe how awesome the performances were though and the energy and greatness of them just can't translate through videos. Gonna say it again but amazing vocals! DK was crazy good and even when the other guys tired out and were more quiet at the end, his voice was so strong and clear. Insanity. Rap was surprisingly good! I didn't expect to like the rap unit's part but there performances were so hyped and they had some good flow! I think they were the unit with the most stage presence and got the crowd even more hyped than we already were. Dance unit was also hella good, I think they were the second best unit stages for me. A dance unit in kpop sounds kinda lame and useless but when I see it live, yea. They're a unit for a reason. Standout even with how good the rest of the members are at dancing. Vocal unit singing was great but I didn't vibe with the songs as much

Dancing insane. I was far away so I got full view and I couldn't see a single step missed and it was so synchronized. They also had a lot of time where they weren't in tight choreo or dancing where they could do their own thing and interact with the audience which were also super fun. One of the members jumped down at one point to get an audience member to sing into the mic. Energy was crazy and they didn't falter once during the whole 2+ hours. idk how to put it but he concert just had such a nice, natural vibe with great energy that kept you into it

Also music was really good! There were maybe 3 songs I didn't vibe with as much but they weren't bad. Just not as cool or entertaining as the rest! To summarize, this concert was awesome and has made me a certified super fan :pepe-shades: Ignore the stereotypes about kpop idols being robotic and uncharismatic cause these guys know how to hype the crowd better than most non-kpop concerts. The mics were on so they were screaming and shouting to hype us and they weren't stuck in rigid dance formations the whole time (they were cool when they were dancing though). Not sure if this applies to the rest of kpop cause I've actually never been to another kpop concert but hey! I'm sure there's more like this and it's definitely worth the money even if you're not a super fan! These guys were seriously so loose and fun and charismatic in a way that didn't at all fit the stereotype of kpop

The constant "we're ending the show now" fakeouts were hella funny! They did one long one where they turned off all the lights and left us like that for five minutes before coming out. And then at the end of the concert, their encore was repeating Very Nice over and over again. I'm not exaggerating that it was about 10 times, I can probably recite all that in Korean and everything now. They'd act like were done, even start walking back and then just play it again lmaoo

Really hoping they come back around some day because they have completely convinced me to chance more kpop concerts with my money. Not only were the performances awesome but their personalities too made such an energetic and fun concert :pepe-grooving:

Favorites of the night: left and right, mansae, very nice, back it up, moonwalker, wave, game boi, hot, hit. Shadow and our dawn is hotter than day were also really good but chiller. All of the performances were good though even the ones that weren't my vibe as much

Can't believe I avoided kpop concerts so long due to stereotypes of lipsyncing and idols being boring and uncharismatic. Not the case at all and if you have doubts, just take the chance and spend your money fr. Videos can't do this stuff justice because its 100x more fun when you're there in person too. It doesn't even take being a super big fan or even a fan at all to enjoy

  • I'm now looking for more kpop concerts to attend so if anyone knows of any good groups lmk and I'll keep an eye out for when they're nearby enough to get a ticket

I neglected to mention him with Hoshi and Seungkwan but DK was also funny. Kept randomly talking about Spiderman that even the other members were confused and asked him why. I think he messed up NYC with Seattle or something lmaooo but he was one of the most energetic members during the performances too and so much fun. I was able to find this part again from someone else and the intro he led for left & right was so fun. Too bad I can't find the full intro because there was a fun groovy dance bit before the song too

Last note and sorry for turning into some superfan and making a hella long thread and now a post here but it was seriously such a good vibe :pepe-dj: The guys even managed to make me feel proud of Seattle because of how much they loved it lmao I never heard so many compliments about this city before. Can't wait to see them again if they ever have another concert here. My friend and I are still talking about it today lmao decided to check their Twitter and seeing this made me wish I could go again

Only thing I would change about the concert is that I wish they performed Cheers and Don Quixote! It's all I can think about after seeing this! It's not fair! It would be so good live at a concert! :cryingr:

idk if you have to feel jealous bc I'm not sure where you live but you might be able to go too. The tickets are pretty affordable and I think they have a lot of stops left in America and Asia! For the Seattle one, the tickets that were really far away were only $70 or something on resale by the day of the concert. Even if you can't go this time, they kept talking about coming back to Seattle again so my guess is they're planning on more tours in the future so you can always try again lmao

  • im so glad u enjoyed!!!!im going to their singapore stop!!

  • If there are two groups I'd definitely see if they ever come to my city it's Seventeen and Twice. Neither are my ults but I can see they put on a good show.

Have fun! If the energy and performance is anything like what I got, it will be worth your money

For sure! Next time Twice comes around, I'm gonna try to get tickets. I've seen some clips and they look fun too
