The difference between ARMY and some other kpop fandoms I've now noticed

    ARMY raised BTS up out of gratitude for their music and love for the group itself whereas kpop fandoms today seem to only be chasing BTS' achievements. They would not even consider a grammy if it weren't for BTS getting close to having one. Neither Billboard or even the probability of being called "Global".


    Think about it, no fandom that was chasing somebody would promote their faves like ARMY would promote BTS. They promoted to strangers online, on the street, literally every way they could promote they would. They were mocked and bullied for trying hard to get BTS noticed. These fans wanted to give BTS what they and their music deserved, and that was to be listened to. THAT was their driving force.

    They made every single one of BTS' dreams come true out of gratitude and love.


    Other kpop fandoms will not get their faves far with their current mentality. Because I can bet my bottom dollar that the next BTS that everyone is itching for will have inspired people like BTS inspired their fans.

    In the case of Blinks surpassing BTS was always one of the most important goals for them.

    BTS are an entire movement in and of itself and it will take years to fully embrace how special it is. Glad to have watched it happen

    The Beatles were also first brought to US by their fandom and they were also being mocked for pandering to fangirls by muggles. Now everyone knows the beatles as one of the greatest of all time if the one. Fans always go out of their way when the artists are truly loved.

    Most fans don't even bother listening to their groups music to be inspired. Not talking about specific groups but individuals instead.


    You're actually right op. Most kpop fans these days are chasing bts achievements instead of carving their own paths with their faves. And the worst part is they're not patient but want to achieve all these thing within a year but get disappointed when groups don't live up to these expectations.


    I think we have the most number of success stans we've ever had in kpop right now.


    As soon as a group doesn't break all their previous records with a new comeback, they are quickly abandoned for more successful groups.
