Is that so? Looking at both groups' title track streams, the gap between both groups' 2021 songs doesn't seem that huge: NL has 148M streams, Savage 116M, ITM 138M and Loco 144M.

OP is right that both switched roles, before ITZY had the somewhat better streams in Spotify than Aespa, now it's the other way around (Sneakers 10M, Girls 16M, Illusion 22M).

Before Aespa had vastly better k-charting, now ITZY has somewhat better k-charting.

Both groups weren't doing that phenomenally internationally, let's not kid ourselves they're nowhere even close to BP, and aren't doing that phenomenally now.

And both groups aren't doing that phenomenally on k-charts or ULs when compared with some other kpop songs performances this year - although admittedly this is a win for ITZY when comparing with their previous charting that was abominable.
