Honestly, no shade to formis 9 but they have failed repeatedly to gain attraction. Like I know they exist only because of Gyuri. It doesn't mean they are not talented but the industry is so cutthroat that not everyone makes it.

Severely mismanaged by Pledis and OTR.

They got sidelined for Izone less than a year into their debut and didn't start promoting aggressively until they disbanded

True, but they still failed to gain mass attraction. CLC was mismanaged too, but they also weren't memorable. The only one who stood out was Sorn. I have listened to their songs and seen their MV but wouldn't be able to say who the members are. Killer songs sure but not enough presence. In my opinion at least

CLC's "mismanagement" is mainly lack of a cohesive concept and sound and very poor timing of when they did what. They actually promoted pretty extensively. people just didn't like them

Fromis_9 went viral for Love Bomb and then went on hiatus. Fun wasn't as big but Nakyung still viral during both eras for her visual. Then a year long hiatus. They're obviously much bigger and successful now but honestly the hype from back then still hasn't been matched. Love Bomb is still their most streamed song.

HYBE won't disband a group like Fromis who is still profitable and hasn't reached their peak. I like Gfriend but there were several factors going into that even if I disagree with HYBE disbanding them.
