How did Hwasa go from it girl to flopping so quick? (and not Jennie, Irene)

One minute, she was an it girl, selling out corns and meat in Korea, everywhere on TV, number one song, setting new beauty standards, yet now her songs one after the other flopped, including her new song with Loco, Mamamoo not getting hits too. Irene and Jennie, the two other it girls still got Korea hyping them so why is Hwasa flopping?

Hwasa is not from the Big 4. Which means she's far more vulnerable to changes to the negativity, when you're not really trending anymore or your song isn't that good.

Not you trying to lump Irene with Jennie of people now come on. Irene literally lost most of her CF deals to non big3 idols and actors, her movie (double Patty) flopped hard, didn't get booked for any other drama, movie projects after her movie and she doesn't even have any prominent solo works up until now. Plus that little reality show of her's is being slandered by knetz ijbol.

Hwasa is doing more than fine actually, her recent Collab is climbing the charts real quick and she's getting booked across the country for more shows. The person you should technically have made this thread about is for Irene and not hwasa xd

Jennie is on another level currently compared to the two so and that with having no solo activities or variety appearence

Irene? No shade but didn't the soju stocks increase when they replaced her with IU??She had 2 asian ambassadorships in 2020 before her scandal but her contemporaries like Lisa, Somi, Jennie were pulling 6-12 that year, even Seulgi had 4.

Hwasa's success is extremely SK centric but even then one visit to hwasa global shows she has over a dozen sponsorships/ambassadorships so far in 2022 with almost all luxury brands. She was front row in Valentino with Ms. Wintour. MMM has way more fans in SK so her success doesn't make rounds in the i fan side.

I checked to be sure. Hwasa's last solo comeback she barely charted in the top 100. Ok.

If you're not Big 4 and you're not IU, you will have trouble maintaining your success.
