Won't Newjeans and Le Sserafim compete against eachother??

I just saw the new Newjeans video and while interested, I'm also puzzled.

Debuting 2 girl groups within a few months, won't they hinder eachother: won't HYBE's first 2 debuted girl groups compete against eachother? In HYBE resources, attention of potential fans etc.

And was it always the plan they'd debut so soon, or are HYBE rushing them out now that Le Sserafim didn't make the splash debut that HYBE wanted (and had scandal problems on top of it)?

All i can say this is Itzy vs Nmixx all over again i don't understand why these company debut two groups with similar concept one of the group is going to kill the other YG did debut two groups with the same concept but at least they weren't active at the same time

I don't think min heejin cares about that. This new gg looks really experimental kind of. I see why bang pd abandon them they care about money.

This is what I was thinking too, it feels like Winner and iKON all over again, and those fanwars between both fandoms were vicious, flocks of fans even infiltrated the other fandom to initiate false flag operations to shade the 'enemy' fandom for a year and more.

While YG weren't able to keep the hype and flow going for both groups, having both groups experience large hiatuses due to lack of YG resourcing.

blackpink and 2ne1 are different though one has a pink and black side with a more fashionable girl crush style and the other is more bad ass/fierce somewhat experimental

Jyp is a single company, Hybe is a cooperation similar to cjemn. New jeans is under ador and lsfm is a Soumu-Hybe collab. I think both have different audience. Meanwhile jyp's both groups aimed for the same audience.

New Jeans and Le Sserafim actually don't have similar concepts unlike nmixx and Itzy. Le Sserafim feels really vogue and mature, bordering on Sexy.

New Jeans feels really youthful and fresh and bordering on cute. Although that last part could simply be because of how young they all look.

There are still Belift gg from I-land s2 that just recently postponed

And another new gg rumored from Pledis so

Companies are throwing everything out there cos they know fans will eat and buy whatever they release.

Say what you want but people are literally making fan pages and buying pre-order albums when they literally don't know what's in it or who the members are.

It will continue to oversaturate the GG market (it already is oversaturated), but it's a smart business move

Totally agree, there should have been at least 6 months gap between their debut but they might be targetting the big month of august where everyone will have attention as big 3 ggs, ive and many more are having comeback and hoping to get enough attention

No, this gg was supposed to debut back in 2020 so I don't think their debut is rushed and Lesserafim is everything Hybe wanted for their first gg, viral members, good sales and charting. New jeans look more experimental to me , it makes sense that Hybe who only cares about the money transferred them to ador and focused on a new gg with actual famous members who guaranteed success with a gp friendly song. Lesserafim won't be mistreated, their executive producer is bang pd. He'll always put his own gg first. MHJ will have the whole control over new jeans.
