Main page AKP. Anyone else like wtf? I get Korea and Asia love pale skin but those are some pretty problematic comments they made.

Found it, was very poorly translated, what she meant that Chaeryeong doesn't suit tanning and not tanning makes her stand out from the other members who are tanned.

Basically Chaeryeong is so pale that even if she tries to tan she won't be fully tan, she'll end up in the middle and not get the full effect, so basically just leave it alone and be happy with her skin tone as it is.

In my opinion, not colorist at all, and I say this as someone who has brown skin.

Koreans worship whites as gods so no wonders their obsession with white skin

While it doesn't look like she had malicious intentions, I find it odd how common associating traits with slight skin tone variations is in SK. It's a weird mindset.

are the other members even Tanned? i look at them and they are cottage cheese for me too. But i think they made this comment cos they know this is a trace Koreans and asians in general love. Being super white...and they were trying to praise Chaeryeon in any way posible...so ok, she is super white, there you have it, that is all.

Lia didn’t even say anything wrong, it’s true that if chae tans like other itzy members she will be less attractive than she already is especially to koreans . She’s shining especially this era because her skin colour is overly standing out her views are showing it

I think I’m tired of chae constantly needing to be praised if Yuna behaved like chae people would have crucified her, she was the one who said that she’s insecure about her pale skin like why is she lying when she knows pale skin is the only beauty standard she has , now Lia is under fire for just trying to tell her to become comfortable in her skin . This not the first time chae is doing this, “I’m too ugly compared to you guys” it’s getting pathetic and her energy of pick me is great but no one notices it but pretty girls like Wonyoung and Yuna are bashed 24/7
