Did Soyeon ruin Tom Boy's overseas impact?

Even though it was such a huge hit in Korea, I don't feel the impact nearly as much among ifans.

I can't help but think it's because Soyeon ruined it for ifans with her cringe English verse.

Most Koreans won't be able to tell just how unpleasant it sounds, but to native English speakers, it's....

Tbh I wish I could comfortably listen to Tomyboy.

I think G-idle would benefit from releasing a full Korean version.

completely agree. the beat, the flows, the rap by the other mebers was good. at first i thought she was speaking korean until i turned on the subtitles. good song just the rap English part was pretty terrible. if soyeon just rap normally in korean itd be way more badass

Absolutely could never make it past her rap to get to the end of the song. Not that minnie’s english part at the beginning was all that pleasant either lol. I guess this is what koreans usually feel towards kpop with its nonsensical lyrics but in korean so we normally don’t understand it but they understand every excruciating word

Same here. When the song first came put, I thought I was going to love it just from teasers alone. But once it started playing the second half was just....

But I enjoyed listening to the first half. But it's like while i'm listening to the first half im constantly dreading her verse coming up. Sometimes I think I can power through it but in the end I end up just stopping the song entirely. Now a days I just avoid listening entirely.

I'd say yes because her verse is such a turn off. I listened to the song three times and i just could get past it. Which is said, everything else about the song was perfect imo
