Do you read children's books?

  • Because of the fact that I work at a library that has mostly children's books and YA books (I'm on a holiday though), I read a lot of these kinds of books lately.

I am currently reading a children's book at a moment.

Well... if you read that book, I'm currently reading, you would probably be shocked by the swear words. (Well... I'm used to seeing that in Danish children's books)

I guess that many adults would be thinking "I'm too old to read children's books. They are called children's books for a reason."

But an author from my country, who writes children's books and YA, once said that "children's books are not only for children. They are for everyone."

Well... I feel like I'm too old for picture books like the Spot books, which I read when I was younger. I did buy a Peter Rabbit picture book a few years ago, just because I like Beatrix Potter's beautiful illustrations. Some picture books are cute, but I don't read them often.

I remember that when I was a teen, I was a bit childish, and when my classmates started reading YA, I preferred reading children's books.

Because I didn't like the profanity and sexual stuff in YA. (even though I saw that stuff in some children's books too, especially the Danish ones.)

Sometimes I read children's books, because it makes me think of when I read that book as a child (it is especially like this with Astrid Lindgren books). Few months ago, I read a book that I had read when I went to public school.

I do also read children's books if I have heard that it is a good book or something. (Like I do with books not for childrens.)

  • Yes

Howl's moving castle and its related books are technically children books but I loved them
