It's all pure speculation. I don't think anyone knows how it works in kpop in general, nevermind at YGE.
We've had many indications that they are STILL working on the album. I think many people thought it was mostly done and locked away in YGE's vault that only Teddy knows the combo to. Doesn't it make sense that they've been having contract talks recently instead of waiting until next year?
BP has the best leverage BEFORE a cb and world tour. I don't think YGE is in any position to tell them they have to wait until next year to discuss it.
